TUESDAY EVENING MEDITATION CLASS
Tuesday 7:00 – 8:15pm
Anyone can learn to meditate and experience great peace of mind and relaxation – totally free from stress and anxiety. In this class with Buddhist teacher Dylan Jordan, you will gain the tools and experience needed for a wonderful meditation practice that will help you immensely in daily life. These Buddhist meditation classes include teachings, guided meditations, and a chance to discuss & ask questions. Followed by refreshments. Beginners welcome!
Current classes are mainly based on How to Transform Your Life and other books by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso such as How to Solve Our Human Problems, Joyful Path of Good Fortune, and Introduction to Buddhism.
There are new people at every class, drop in anytime.
THURSDAY EVENING MEDITATION CLASS

Happiness Hour consists of a short talk and guided relaxing meditation to help us increase our peaceful good heart. It is an ideal way to unwind after work and recharge for a great evening ahead.
Happiness Hour is based on the new book, How to Transform Your Life, available as a free download if you would like to study at home.

Dylan has been studying and practicing Buddhist meditation for many years. His light and practical style bring Buddha’s teachings to life in an easily accessible way. Dylan teaches regular meditation workshops at KMC-CO, fills in for Kadam Lucy when she is away, and is the branch teacher in Colorado Springs on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Penny teaches on Thursday nights in Colorado Springs. Penny has been studying on the Foundation Program at KMC Colorado for many years. She brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
Steven Rachal teaches on Thursday nights in Colorado Springs. Steven is on the Foundation Program at Kadampa Meditaiton Center Colorado and has been studying for may years. He brings a light-hearted yet sincere approach to teaching so that meditation and Buddhism is accessible for everyone.

The class will be in the “Lower Classrom” which is in the main building. From the parking lot go in the main entrance. Take a left at the gymnasium and the Lower Classroom is at the end of the hall.
SNOW POLICY – Westside Community Center follows School District 11 guidelines for inclement weather. If District 11 is closed, WCC is CLOSED. However, if District 11 operates on a delay, WCC will be open.
$10 per class (students, seniors and military: $7).
No preregistration is required.

Do I have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.
Do I need to have experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend the classes?
No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing in particular, just yourself; though you can bring a pen and notepad if you want to take notes.
How should I dress for class?
No particular clothing is required. Just dress comfortably.
