These meditation classes, offered by Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado, are for all levels of interest and experience. By offering Buddha’s ancient wisdom in a modern presentation, these teachings help each of us find deeper levels of inner peace and happiness. In this way we hope to bring about genuine peace in our world.
Each class consists of a guided relaxing meditation and talk to help us solve our daily problems and find the lasting happiness we seek. Beginners welcome. No need to pre-register, come along at any time. No need to bring anything or wear special clothing.

Our teacher Jamie has been practicing Kadampa Buddhist meditation since 2004, studying on Foundation and Teacher Training Programs at Kadampa Meditation Centers throughout the country and Kadampa Festivals throughout the world. Jamie’s teachings are full of humor and practical examples that illuminate the depth of Buddha’s profound teachings, making them accessible for everyone to apply to their daily lives.
Kadam Lucy James
Kadam Lucy, the resident teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado in Denver, will be teaching the Wednesday evening meditation classes once a month, 7pm-8:30pm, on March 15th, April 12th, May 17th, June 21st, and August 23rd.
Kadam Lucy has possesses a great wealth of knowledge and experience of Buddhism, having been studying and practicing meditation and Buddhism for more than 35 years.
For decades she also helped to edit and produce the books by the internationally renowned meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, widely regarded as the most comprehensive presentation of Buddhism available in any Western language.

Do I have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.
Do I need to have experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend the classes?
No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing in particular, just yourself; though you can bring a pen and notepad if you want to take notes.
How should I dress for class?
No particular clothing is required. Just dress comfortably.
When to start?
Anytime! Each class can stand alone.
