Kids will gain tools for creating a happy life
Every Sunday morning children aged 4-12 years old are welcome to join a special class dedicated to meditation and cultivating positive qualities such as inner calm. These classes center upon the practical application of love and compassion in daily life. The children learn practical methods for managing challenging situations at school, at home, or at play by applying Buddha’s teachings.
Each creative class will include time for meditation instruction, a brief meditation, a group story (eg, revolving around mindfulness or ethics), and playful activities such as arts/crafts, songs and games … and then concluding snack time along with the adults.
Parents have the relaxing opportunity to join in the meditation and teachings in the adult class held in the main meditation hall next door at the same time.
Drop-ins welcome, no need to sign up in advance!
This class is suitable for ages 5 – 12 years; children under 5 may attend with an adult.
Please note that we will begin a stand-alone program for tweens and teens on Fri eves in Jan from 5:30-6:30pm. Please contact us for more info.

Taught by Kadampa Teachers Kate Franklin and Mariela Rosario, both of whom are certified teachers and have many years’ experience working with children.
No charge but donations are appreciated.
