The Mindfulness Toolkit
Training in mindfulness as a tool for improving our thoughts and feelings
Explore how to train in mindfulness together with concentration, attention, and presence of mind. As we develop these mental skills, they’ll become powerful tools for transforming our minds and lives. By using the mindfulness toolkit to develop and sustain pure intentions and a good heart, we will eventually eradicate all our negativity and enjoy a happy, relaxed mind all the time.
Includes guided meditation, a talk on a different topic each week and discussion.
No previous experience is necessary, suitable for beginners and those with more experience of meditation.
Class is followed by refreshments if you would like to stick around for awhile to chat to the teacher and other attendees.
There are new people at every class, drop in anytime.

Learn simple meditation techniques and special ways of thinking designed to enhance positivity, peace and meaning in the midst of an active, modern lifestyle. These classes will help you feel very confident to meditate at home if you wish.

Ruth is one of the original members of Kadampa Meditation Center in Colorado, who has taught regularly for several years. Her warmth and depth of experience makes her a well-loved teacher. Ruth fills in for Kadam Lucy’s more advanced classes and also teaches day courses.

$10 per class (students and seniors: $7).

Do I have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.
Do I need to have experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend the classes?
No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing in particular, just yourself; though you can bring a pen and notepad if you want to take notes.
How should I dress for class?
No particular clothing is required. Just dress comfortably.
When to start?
Anytime! Each class can stand alone.
