‘Attaining enlightenment is very simple, all we need to do is apply effort to purifying our mind.’ ~ Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Modern Buddhism
Have you ever wanted to let go of a painful past and move forward with a clean, clear, positive, happy mind? Shift old habits, become unstuck? Purify all the negative, destructive things you’ve ever done or said? Spring clean your mind ~ join us for one of our most special events of the year! Even though we may try to live in the present, we often find ourselves defined by and even stuck in the past. Also, although we spend so much time and energy trying to avoid problems by making changes to our external world, our unhappiness and difficulties, as well as obstacles to our spiritual development, continue. This is because their main cause is not external; they are the result of the negative karma we have created in the past through our own harmful intentions and actions.
By relying upon the powerful Buddha of purification, Vajrasattva, we can swiftly eliminate all bad habits, negativity, and obstacles from our mind to allow our mind’s natural purity to shine through, finding the inner strength and inspiration to reach our extraordinary potential. Join us over the weekend to make a strong connection with this Buddha, and receive his inspiration and blessings, so that every day your mind can become purer, lighter, and more blissful.
The introduction, commentary, and short practice will give us the means to let go of negativity, profoundly improving our daily lives and ability to help others.
What is an Empowerment?
An empowerment is a special blessing that is transmitted through a powerful meditation practice passed down from generation to generation since the time of Buddha himself. This ancient Buddhist blessing awakens our innate potential for complete purity, happiness, and freedom. Through receiving this empowerment, we will develop a connection with Buddha Vajrasattva and begin to cleanse our mind of all negativity, bad habits, and obstacles. Through purifying our negativity, our mind will become happier, our good qualities will increase, and all our mental and physical problems will gradually disappear. We will connect with Buddha Vajrasattva, the embodiment of the completely pure mind of all enlightened beings, to receive inspiration and deep healing. None of us wants to suffer, and Buddha taught purification practice as the most powerful method to be freed from obstacles, negativities, and
suffering. Everyone can benefit from this. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned meditator.
