Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado is a place to learn and practice Buddhist meditation as a way to solve our daily problems, grow spiritually, enjoy community, and transform our world. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1999 and part of a worldwide network of over 1,300 Centers for modern Buddhism.
We’re glad you have found us and hope you find what you are looking for (and much more!) Everyone is welcome and warmly invited to try out any of the drop-in classes offered each week at our main center and branches. In these classes, we explore Buddha’s practical and enjoyable methods for cultivating deep inner peace and happiness.
We do not discriminate based on race, gender, background, age, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or otherwise — everyone is always welcome at KMC Colorado and the other Centers around the world. With inner peace, wisdom and compassion we can all make a better world now and for generations to come.

Happiness is a state of mind -- an underlying sense of contentment, fulfillment, and satisfaction. And the truth is that we already have this within us, readily accessible. Although it may be buried beneath layers of thoughts and emotions, through meditation we can tap into it and increase it day by day, until we experience an enduring peace and freedom.
Tuesday, April 11 | 7:00 - 8:15pm
Join us for a public talk and special series of classes with international meditation teacher Kadam Lucy James!
Our mind is our greatest natural resource, but all too often we fail to recognize it for the wonder that it is. We see our mind as limited and relate to it as something fixed or stuck, consequently often feeling trapped in painful states.
Saturday, April 15
Nyungnay is a special fasting and purification practice performed in conjunction with prostrations and prayers to Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. This is a very powerful method for purifying negativity of body, speech, and mind, and for pacifying delusions such as strong attachment and anger. It is also a special way of improving our minds of love, compassion, and receiving the compassionate blessings of Avalokiteshvara.
