Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado is a place to learn and practice Buddhist meditation as a way to solve our daily problems, grow spiritually, enjoy community, and transform our world. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1999 and part of a worldwide network of over 1,300 Centers for modern Buddhism.
We’re glad you have found us and hope you find what you are looking for (and much more!) Everyone is welcome and warmly invited to try out any of the drop-in classes offered each week at our main center and branches. In these classes, we explore Buddha’s practical and enjoyable methods for cultivating deep inner peace and happiness.
We do not discriminate based on race, gender, background, age, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or otherwise — everyone is always welcome at KMC Colorado and the other Centers around the world. With inner peace, wisdom and compassion we can all make a better world now and for generations to come.
Valentine’s Day 2023 at Rooted Heart with Kadam Lucy James
Tuesday, February 14
Valentine’s Day is all about love, but what actually is love? What if our very ideas and expectations about love and romance were contributing to our difficulties in finding satisfying partnerships, or making these really shine? The teachings of Buddha offer surprising methods that will transform our perspective on relationships, helping us to see why so many of our experiences have been painful, disappointing, or even damaging, how to stop making the same old mistakes, and how to transform all our friendships, romantic and otherwise.
Valentine’s Day 2023 at Rooted Heart with Kadam Lucy James
Saturday, February 25
We encounter all kinds of obstacles in our desire to improve ourselves, to overcome our negativities, and to make progress on the path to pure happiness. We therefore need to develop great confidence in our practice and in our ability to deal with adversity throughout our spiritual development. In this course we will learn different ways of relating to ourself, relating to the pure and limitless nature of our mind, rather than our limitations.
March 4 | in Fort Collins
During this very special event, our Buddhist Teacher Trina Gunther will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni. By receiving this empowerment we make a deep personal connection with Buddha that leads us to spiritual protection from all suffering and problems, known as Buddhist refuge.
