Imagine the BENEFITS of a newly renovated center in Denver!
Giving to KMC CO right now is a unique opportunity to be part of a project that will immediately bring benefit to thousands of people and will continue to bring benefit for generations to come.
Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado is a place to learn and practice Buddhist meditation as a way to solve our daily problems, grow spiritually, enjoy community, and transform our world. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1999 and part of a worldwide network of over 1,300 Centers for modern Buddhism.
We’re glad you have found us and hope you find what you are looking for (and much more!) Everyone is welcome and warmly invited to try out any of the drop-in classes offered each week at our main center and branches. In these classes, we explore Buddha’s practical and enjoyable methods for cultivating deep inner peace and happiness.
We do not discriminate based on race, gender, background, age, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or otherwise — everyone is always welcome at KMC Colorado and the other Centers around the world. With inner peace, wisdom and compassion we can all make a better world now and for generations to come.
May 20 — May 23 | @KMC NY & Online
Join us for a special and experiential journey into a full understanding of emptiness, the union of the two truths. Buddha taught many levels of the union of the two truths according to both Sutra (where he explained the union of conventional and ultimate truth) and Tantra (where he explained the union of appearance and emptiness). It is through these teachings that we can complete our understanding of Dharma and attain enlightenment in this life. We will first find our way into emptiness through the magic of dependent relationship, and then learn how to unite emptiness with compassion and correct imagination.
Saturday, June 4th
In celebration of Buddha's Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. On this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.
Saturday, June 25
Join us for a talk on a practical approach to refuge that will energize our spiritual life, followed by the actual Buddhist Refuge Ceremony, a blessed ritual meditation dating back to the time of Buddha Shakyamuni. This Ceremony draws us closer to the love and protection of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha; and you can choose whether you use it to formally become a Buddhist or simply as a powerful blessing and inspiration on your spiritual journey.
Saturday, July 16
We are offering a one-hour course on mantra and an afternoon workshop making malas. You will walk away with a precious object and an understanding of how to use the power of mantras in your daily life. You are welcome to attend either or both sessions! Snacks are provided.
Saturday, TBA
