We are a non-profit organization founded in 1999 and part of a worldwide network of over 1,300 Centers for modern Buddhism.
We’re glad you have found us and hope you find what you are looking for (and much more!) Everyone is welcome and warmly invited to try out any of the drop-in classes offered each week at our main center and branches. In these classes, we explore Buddha’s practical and enjoyable methods for cultivating deep inner peace and happiness.
We do not discriminate based on race, gender, background, age, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or otherwise — everyone is always welcome at KMC Colorado and the other Centers around the world. Buddha Tara – known as "the Swift One, the Heroine" – is a manifestation of the fearless wisdom of all enlightened beings. To come to our aid, she moves faster than wind; for countless generations people have relied upon her for protection against fears and anxieties, and for guidance, inspiration, and a steady source of encouragement. She is the perfect source of refuge for our troubled world. The empowerment of Green Tara is granted via a blissful ritual meditation that has been passed down from generation to generation since the time of Buddha himself.
