About this class

Welcome to the Cap Hill Buddhist meditation class! This class is a drop-in class, suitable for beginners as well as those with an established meditation practice. Each class includes a teaching and meditation based on Buddha’s Sutra and/or Tantra teachings. Through these classes we can learn how to use Buddha’s advice in our own lives to solve all our daily problems and find the peace and happiness we seek.

Guided meditations for relaxation

Learn meditations to help calm the mind, reduce stress, and give rise to an experience of inner peace and well being. When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arise from within. These breathing meditations, guided by an experienced meditator, are practical methods to reduce stress and ease tensions.

Guided meditations for a kind heart

Learn guided meditations that will help you to relate to others in a positive and caring way. By learning to cherish others, we discover a deep inner peace and contentment for ourselves.


March

Guided meditations for a clear mind

Learn meditations that lead both beginners and experienced meditators on a journey exploring their own mind, through which you will discover your own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness. In each class, you will experience simple guided meditations are preceded by a short talk on Buddhism that allow you to gain a deeper experience of the meditation.

Kristen Goldrick

Kristen has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 8 years & volunteers with our Education program. Kristen is a professional ballerina and medical copywriter. She is known for her good heart and her dedication to self improvement!

Daniel Klein

Daniel first attended dharma class ten years ago in Phoenix, Arizona and is now in the Teacher Training Program. Daniel is known for his calm demeanor, humor and clear and inspiring teachings. He is currently an attorney and partner at a local law firm.
