About the Event
Come join us for a special 1/2 day retreat! During this special course you will receive teachings and guided meditations on the practice of Exchanging Self with Others. This yoga is one of the most important and practical of all Buddha’s teachings.
“The path to enlightenment is really very simple. All we need to do is stop cherishing ourself and learn to cherish others. All other spiritual realizations will naturally follow from this.” —Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, The New Eight Steps to Happiness
By training our mind to be more aware of the happiness and well being of others, and meditating on this precious mind, we have the ability to change the way we see and interact with others in our daily life and in our world. In this way we will solve all of our problems and experience deep inner peace.
Session 1: 10-11:30pm
Session 2: 12:30-2:00pm
Session 3: 2:00-2:15pm (Question & Answer session)
Jamie has been practicing Kadampa Buddhist meditation since 2004 and helps out at KMC Colorado in numerous ways. His teachings are full of humor and practical examples that illuminate the depth of Buddha’s profound teachings, making them accessible for everyone to apply to their daily lives.
Maria has been a student of Venerable Geshe-la since 2012 at KMC New York and KMC Colorado.
