About this class
Learn how to practice authentic Buddhist meditation right here in Golden! This class is a drop-in class, suitable for beginners as well as those with an established meditation practice. Each class includes a teaching and meditation based on Buddha’s Sutra and/or Tantra teachings. Through these classes we can learn how to use Buddha’s advice in our own lives to solve all our daily problems and find the peace and happiness we seek.
Learn meditations to help calm the mind, reduce stress, and give rise to an experience of inner peace and well being. When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arise from within. These breathing meditations, guided by an experienced meditator, are practical methods to reduce stress and ease tensions.
Learn guided meditations that will help you to relate to others in a positive and caring way. By learning to cherish others, we discover a deep inner peace and contentment for ourselves.
Learn meditations that lead both beginners and experienced meditators on a journey exploring their own mind, through which you will discover your own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness. In each class, you will experience simple guided meditations are preceded by a short talk on Buddhism that allow you to gain a deeper experience of the meditation.

Brian is currently a student in the Teacher Training Program. He is a good example of inner peace in action and volunteers regularly at KMC CO. For Brian, meditation comes naturally and he enjoys giving others the opportunity to discover this valuable skill.
