March 19, April 16 & May 21 | 7 - 8:30pm
These evenings will begin with a short talk and then a practice of chanted prayers and meditation associated with a particular Buddha. Through this practice we deepen our experience of meditation and our connection to joyful and empowering blessings. The puja includes a guided meditation and runs for about an hour. You may bring an offering of food or drink if you wish. Afterwards, we all head out to our community table for some refreshments and time to socialize.

Nyungnay is a special fasting and purification practice performed in conjunction with prostrations and prayers to Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. This is a very powerful method for purifying negativity of body, speech, and mind, and for pacifying delusions such as strong attachment and anger. It is also a special way of improving our minds of love, compassion, and receiving the compassionate blessings of Avalokiteshvara. This practice is done annually at Kadampa Buddhist centers throughout the world to celebrate Buddha’s Enlightenment Day.
Rocky Mountain Retreat May 3-6 with visiting International teacher Gen Samten and Resident Teacher Kadam Lucy James
Often we feel stuck in painful habits of thought, perceiving our mind to be fixed and unchanging in its negative ways. During this rare and experiential retreat, we can learn how to dispel the clutter of our mind and the complications of our lives through meditating on the true nature of our mind. Abiding in the deep inner peace of this emptiness, there are no disturbing thoughts, no pain, no worry, no anger, no conflict, and no fear.
By meditating on our mind’s conventional nature, clarity, we can experience deeper and deeper levels of peace. Then by meditating on its ultimate nature, its emptiness of existing in a fixed, inherent way, we can quickly break free — uncovering our limitless potential for joyful transformation.
Date TBA | Coming soon, this springtime...
